A Journey called Elvezia…
Our story began in 1962, when the pastry chef Mario Demicheli, with his wife Regina, decided to open a small pastry shop in the center of Novi Ligure.
The success of that small place was so much that Mario and Regina decided to expand their business at number 40 of Viale Aurelio Saffi, in the center of Novi Ligure. The cafe and Venezia Tea Room was born, which still today is the setting for our breakfasts, lunches, snacks and more.
The Olandesina’s home
It was in the small laboratory in Viale Saffi that the famous Olandesina from Elvezia was born in the early sixties. Thanks to the careful research and selection of quality ingredients carried out by granpa Mario, the secret recipe was created. Today is still jealously guarded and handed down from generation to generation.

After 3 generations of pastry chefs, we always work in a completely artisanal way, taking care of each of our products, starting with the purchase of selected raw materials up to the packaging, thus guaranteeing the genuineness and flavors that distinguish us.

“I took my first steps here and in the meantime I became passionate about this art. Started as a game, that of the pastry chef has become my profession and my life, as have my parents and my grandparents.
Among the innovations that I have introduced, there is the exclusive packaging line, created and designed for each of our individual products. Not a simple covering, but an element to keep and reuse. Today we invest in research and development, with cutting-edge technologies, which support the tradition and craftsmanship that distinguishes us. Our staff is trained and prepared to best welcome our customers.
In 2021, the production of the famous TV show Cake Star selected us to participate in the episode dedicated to Piedmont. We are proud to have participated and to have been classified on the podium as winners, and to have had the opportunity to show our specialties and our tradition to all of Italy. “
